Don’t Make Exercise a Habit

Make Exercise a habit! Add it into your morning routine! Do it before the kids get up! Have a 15 step process you do every morning and your world will change!

Do those phrases make you feel like you will never figure out how to get consistent with you exercise?

Me too. For years the idea of having to do things the same each day kept me stuck. In the BC (before children) Era it was out of boredom and lack of motivation. In motherhood it has just been impossible. I never know when I will be needed.

That all changed earlier this year when I realized that I had been applying the idea of priorities to every other area of my life and that I could do that to exercise too.

You see, I don't always do the dishes right after we eat. But I do manage to get the dishes done every 24 hours or so. The same for everything else in our lives. I use mental space to get the stuff done that is important to me. Because…

It’s a priority.

So I made exercise a priority. I do it almost everyday. It moves my lymph, helps me detox by sweating, helps move my bowels, keeps me strong and flexible, it gets me patience and calms my anxious mind, and it helps me feel like I am taking control of my health.

My workouts don’t always happen at the same time everyday. I don’t always give 100%, but I SHOW up and you can too.

I do have plans of how I will get the workout in.  Plan A: get up and workout while the boys sleep. Plan B: workout after school while C plays with his ipad. Plan C: rest day.

If you are ready to get consistent with your health and exercise routine shoot me an email at caitlin@balancewithcaitlin.com or send me a DM on IG and we can discuss getting you in my fitness groups I run each month!
